Focus on employee development: specialist training in capital construction

Polyus has rolled out a large-scale training programme for project managers and project teams involved in capital construction.

The programme is aimed at forging successful local and global project management practices, and will include master classes for employees to improve their skills and competences. It also facilitates the introduction of in-house procedures and regulations related to project management and capital construction.

The programme was developed in line with common industry training practices and similar training programmes at large Russian and international corporates.

The training programme runs over the course of a year (four weeks total training) and includes exposure to key activity areas:

  • project management;
  • activity-based schedule charting;
  • contract strategy;
  • budgeting;
  • risk management, etc.

The training programme will run annually, and will offer many Polyus employees the opportunity to gain new skills.
