Culture and Art

Supporting cultural projects is a key part of our contribution to local development in the regions in which we operate.

Since 2016, the company has been organising its Polyus. Golden season theatre contest in our regions of operation. The winners of the contest receive grants to participate in one of Russia’s major theatre festivals.

In 2018 Polyus organized the second Territoriya festival of modern art in partnership with the TERRITORIY Contemporary Art School and Moscow Museum of Modern Art. In 2018, the event was held in Krasnoyarsk.

Those who attend the festival have the unique opportunity to watch performances by Russia’s leading theatre companies. The festival’s educational programme comprises lectures, workshops and roundtables for regional actors, directors and producers. A modern art exhibition organized by the Moscow Museum of Modern Art takes place in conjunction with the festival.

Polyus supports the unique traditions and customs of indigenous people living in our regions of operation by sponsoring folk festivals and other local cultural events.

Additionally, we regularly sponsor children’s performance groups, enabling them to evolve and participate in Russia’s largest international contests and festivals.

At Polyus, we ensure that we pay close attention to the creation and restoration of green areas, as well as urban development initiatives in certain regions.
