On Friday, November 17 Evgueni Ivanov, CEO of Polyus Gold, and Evgueni Primakov, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed a long term charity agreement between OJSC Polyus Gold and Orphans Help Center Charity Fund, established by the Chamber.

OJSC Polyus Gold will be a regular contributor to Orphans Help Center Charity Fund for the next 3 years and will donate 5 000 000 rubles annually. Thus Polyus Gold became one of the few regular partners and the most generous donors of the Fund.

These donations are aimed to help orphanages and other orphan institutions in Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, and Magadan regions, and in Sakha (Yakutia) Republic where Polyus Gold operates. Special attention in this project will be devoted to creating sports facilities for orphans. Some of the money donated will be directed to orphanages in other regions of Russia.

Commenting on this event CEO of Polyus Gold Evgueni Ivanov said: «This partnership with Orphans Help Center Charity Fund is a unique opportunity for us to reach orphanages in any region of Russia, to know and meet their needs. Our action, I believe, will both improve everyday life conditions for orphans, and help them develop strong characters through sports».
