General Director OJSC Polyus Gold (RTS, MICEX and LSE – PLZL) Evgueni Ivanov became the winner in Nomination "Master of Business" of the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 Award in Russia.

The international Entrepreneur Of The Year contest has been held by Ernst & Young for 22 years and is the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.  The competition has grown to encompass 135 cities in 50 countries.

The contest selects and honors entrepreneurs who have made the most important contributions to the development of a national economic sector. Russia joined the initiative in 2003, and each year the winner at the national level represents the country at the international contest.

Polyus Gold is the largest gold producer in  Russia. Headquartered in Moscow, Polyus Gold’s operating mines and development/exploration  projects are located in five major gold mining regions of Russia - Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk,  Magadan, Amur regions and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
