Located in one of Russia’s most prolific gold mining provinces, Olimpiada is Polyus’ largest operating asset. The ore mined at the site is processed at three mills, with a combined capacity of over 14 mln tonnes of ore per year. Polyus uses BIONORD, the Company’s proprietary bio-oxidation technology, to treat Olimpiada’s sulphide ores.

Olimpiada’s development program envisages the expansion of its processing capacity up to 15 million tonnes of ore per year.

Together with Blagodatnoye, Olimpiada forms part of the Krasnoyarsk Business Unit (Polyus Krasnoyarsk).
