Located in one of Russia’s most prolific gold mining provinces, Olimpiada is Polyus’ largest operating asset. The ore mined at the site is processed at three mills, with a combined capacity of over 14 mln tonnes of ore per year. Polyus uses BIONORD, the Company’s proprietary bio-oxidation technology, to treat Olimpiada’s sulphide ores.
Together with Blagodatnoye, Olimpiada forms part of the Krasnoyarsk Business Unit (Polyus Krasnoyarsk).
